Canadian college and polytechnic
Diploma and applied-degree institutions, largely outside the survey that produces the national tuition figures.
| Student and level | Tuition |
|---|---|
| Canadian undergraduate | $7,734.00 |
| Canadian graduate | $7,978.00 |
| International undergraduate | $41,746.00 |
| International graduate | $24,028.00 |
The Statistics Canada survey behind the figures on this site covers publicly funded degree-granting institutions. Colleges offering diplomas and certificates are mostly not in it, and neither are British Columbia associate degrees.
So this site has no national tuition average for the college sector, and does not invent one. Provincial ministries and the institutions themselves publish their own.
Student aid works the same way regardless: the same application, the same grants, and the same repayment assistance.
No sector average for this one
Statistics Canada publishes tuition by province and by field of study rather than by institution, and its survey does not cover this sector in a way that would support a national figure. Rather than compute an average out of data that does not represent the sector, this page links to the provincial figures that do exist.
